Tron Legacy Soundtrack

I’ve been giving the new Tron soundtrack by Daft Punk a listen the last couple days and I have to say it is rather awesome. I would describe it as a unique blend of ambient and orchestral; definitely way more on the symphonic side than I was expecting. I think I need to quit playing it though because all it’s doing is making me wish the new Tron movie would hurry up and open.

If you’re looking to get the soundtrack, be warned that the US version is missing a few tracks. It only contains the following:

1. Overture
2. The Grid
3. The Son of Flynn
4. Recognizer
5. Armory
6. Arena
7. Rinzler
8. The Game Has Changed
9. Outlands
10. Adagio for TRON
11. Nocturne
12. End of Line
13. Derezzed
14. Fall
15. Solar Sailer
16. Rectifier
17. Disc Wars
18. C.L.U.
19. Arrival
20. Flynn Lives

In order to get the complete Tron soundtrack, here’s what you have to do:

Buy the non-US limited 2-CD version. This gets you these tracks:
Encom Part 1
Encom Part 2
Round One
Castor
Reflections

Buy the two tracks that you can only get on iTunes:
Father and Son
Outlands Part II

Buy the final remaining track that’s available at Amazon:
Sea of Simulation

That gets you the whole thing. Unfortunately not everything is available on CD so you’re stuck with some MP3 lossyness, but hopefully this will get you through until the movie opens.

End of line.
