High School Light Show

I found this video of a light show done at Westlake High School. Apparently they got to use x.Spots, Cyberlights, Technobeams, Alpha Washes, Atomic Strobes and a fiber-optic curtain, all controlled by a Whole Hog III. It made me think back to my high school days when we got excited because our big tech show had 4 (rented) Intellabeams. If all schools could afford such high-end gear it would give kids an earlier introduction to real-world entertainment technology, but unfortunately most can't. Of course the opposite end of that is if they get too used to all the expensive fancy stuff and don't have a solid understanding of basic lighting using non-intelligent instruments they might not be prepared to work in a typical theatre.
Anyway, the video is pretty impressive for a high school production and is a fun watch:
